I have been enjoying gourd art since 2008 and have been a woven basket artist since 1987.  As my passion for it has increased, I have recently transitioned to focus totally on my gourd art--I hope you enjoy!

My bio...

I have been a woven basket artist since 1987, have taught basket weaving since 1991 and am a current board member of the Texas Gourd Society. I have been enjoying gourd art since 2008 and currently, am transitioning to weave fewer baskets and create more gourd art. 

  • 2019-20 Board member, Texas Gourd Society

  • 2017 (Feb/March) Selected to display at the Austin/Bergstrom International Airport where they feature local artists.

  • 2017-18 president of the Central Texas Basket Guild

  • 2015 Application reviewer for official Texas Cultural Districts applications with the Texas Commission for the Arts

  • 2010 Charter member and board member of the Texas Basket Weavers Association

  • 2006-2007 One of approximately 100 Texas artists selected by the Texas Commission on the Arts to be featured and promoted in the Texas Original (TxO) Program focusing on high-quality, authentic and original Texas art.
